Citing data from Yelp, NewYorkUpstate has released its new report of the municipalities that feature the top businesses in categories ranging from best pizzeria to specialty stops such as vegetarian restaurants and sushi bars . Factors that determine ranking include number of reviews, star ranking and number of negative reviews.”
The report only includes restaurants from upstate - which is considered north of Westchester and Rockland counties - in the rankings. "Best" has been measured using an algorithm that looks at the number of reviews and star rating for a business, as well as other factors like the number of negative reviews and recency of reviews.
Bellvale Farms Creamery on Route 17A in Warwick earned top honors for their homemade products. The report cited 213 mostly positive reviews, which was good for 4.5 stars on Yelp.
According to their website, "since 1819, Bellvale Farms has provided fine quality dairy products throughout the Hudson Valley region. throughout seven continuous generations of family farming! The Bellvale Farms Dairy Barn is the first Dairy of Distinction in Orange County"
One Yelp reviewer said, When in Warwick, this is the place to go! My coworker recommended me to go to this place whenever I go to Warwick, he told me it was a huge must. Now I know why it was a 'huge must.' The most delicious ice cream with the greatest view ever. They have a few tables and benches to hangout outside and just take in the scenery. One thing I must say, is there is a super long line. But hey! If there is a huge line... then you know it's good! Bookmark this place and go!"
